BOONE COUNTY AUTO ACCIDENT
Represented claimant after she was injured in an automobile accident on her way to work. Pamela sustained a severe leg injury resulting in the amputation of her leg and becoming permanently disabled. The employer denied any liability arguing the claimant was not working at the time of the accident. Missouri law does not generally consider someone injured while traveling to and from work as a compensable injury. However, we argued that claimant was working at the time of the accident, and we were finally able to obtain a favorable result. The settlement amount includes the waiver of the insurer’s subrogation interest and employer also agreed to pay certain medical bills that may later be required by the Federal Govt

Represented a chef after getting his foot caught in a drain at his place of employment and falling, causing injuries to his legs and back. Client had multiple surgeries on his back and was declared totally disabled. The Second Injury Fund contributed to the settlement and the employer also funded a Medicare Set Aside Account to cover future medical treatment related to his back injuries. Employer paid significant medical bills and temporary disability benefits in addition to the settlement above.

BROWARD COUNTY FL CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENT
Client was injured when her vehicle was rear ended by a construction truck on the Intercoastal Waterway in Pompano Beach, Florida. Client suffered a cervical and lumbar strain, mild traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic migraines and myofascial pain syndrome in the accident. The case was settled shortly before trial in Florida.

BOONE COUNTY AUTO ACCIDENT
Represented driver who was struck head on by a motor vehicle that entered into oncoming traffic. The defendant driver Stone was intoxicated at the time of the collision and was convicted in criminal court. Client suffered serious injuries, including right femur fracture, right ankle fracture, bilateral rib fractures and pulmonary contusion.
